When we as Aboriginals consider the education process, we view it as an investment in our youth which in turn is an investment in the future of our First Nations. We desire an education through which the learner, whether young or mature is the main focus. An education that is holistic, an education that develops and promotes strong characteristics and values such as respect for Elders and cultural traditions, leadership qualities, courage and compassion for others while living in harmony with the environment.

The Moose Cree Education Authority (MCEA) is an extension of the Moose Cree First Nation, Moose Factory, ON. The Education Authority has been in operation since August 1992, and has the responsibility to the Moose Cree First Nation membership in addressing educational issues, need, and services, thereby providing and acquiring appropriate programming.
